"Calling All Leaders" Book

Have you ever wished that you could find an easy to read “field manual or playbook” that would help you as a new leader, or as a leader who is looking to take their leadership skills to the next level? As a new leader we often accept this new responsibility with little or no training. Then we have to figure out what works and what doesn’t work as we go along. If we have had great mentors along the way, our path will be much easier. But if we haven’t, where do we turn to learn leadership lessons without having to make too many mistakes along the way? And as an experienced leader, we often need some reminders about using skills that we may have learned many years ago but got lost along the way from facing one crisis after another.

That is why I wrote this book. I wanted to answer a question that many of the leaders I have trained over the years have asked. That is, If I were to distill 50 years of leadership experience into the 10 most important lessons that I have learned about leading, what would they be? Through the use of my experiences, exercises that I have developed for my leadership programs, and some humor along the way, I hope to be able to make your leadership journey an easier and more productive one regardless of how long you have been a leader.

In Calling All Leaders, I talk about lessons that include: The Leadership Relationship Dance, What Tic-Tac-Toe thinking is and why it’s important, How to connect with the people you lead, How to break thru communications barriers all human beings experience, The art of asking questions, How to stop beating your head against the wall in frustration, and How to recognize the enemies of being a great leader.
